Job summary

CBRE Building Engineer role involves monitoring, maintaining and repairing building systems including plumbing, electrical, heating and cooling. You will support preventive maintenance and repairs across facilities, ensuring safety and efficiency.

The role is part of Engineering and Technical Services, focusing on compliance with codes, safety standards, and energy management to deliver reliable client operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience, or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Universal CFC certification is preferred.
• Certifications/licenses as may be required by local or state jurisdictions.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs to mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire, life safety, and control systems.
• Comply with codes, regulations, governmental agency requirements, and company directives for operations and safety.
• Maintain an energy management program and optimize system efficiency.
• Assist with preventive maintenance to meet or exceed machinery life; perform emergency repairs as needed.
• Follow policies for safe storage, usage, and disposal of hazardous materials; keep a clean, safe workplace.
• Review building systems inspections to ensure operation within design limits and prescribed environmental conditions.
