Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Building Engineer to monitor, maintain, and repair building systems including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and safety systems in our facilities. You will support preventive maintenance, energy management, and reliability of equipment to meet client and company standards.

The role requires 4–5 years of related experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and may prefer Universal CFC certification. A focus on safety, teamwork, and problem solving is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 4–5 years of related experience.
• Universal CFC certification preferred; licenses as required by local/state jurisdictions.
• Prior shift management or supervisory experience preferred.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and meet physical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical, plumbing, structural, and control systems.
• Ensure building systems meet applicable codes and safety standards.
• Maintain an energy management program for efficient operation of systems.
• Assist with preventive maintenance programs and emergency repairs.
• Follow safety policies for storage and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Review building system inspections (fire alarms, HVAC, plumbing) against design specs.
• Apply standard principles to complex tasks and provide solutions.
• Coach others and share knowledge across disciplines.
• Lead by example and support CBRE RISE values.
• Contribute to cross-team performance and project activities.
