Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Building Engineer to monitor and maintain building systems including mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and life-safety across facilities.

You will perform preventive maintenance, respond to repairs, and help optimize energy use. The role requires a High School Diploma or GED with 4–5 years of related experience; Universal CFC certification is preferred, plus certifications/licenses as required by local/state jurisdictions.

• High School Diploma or GED with 4–5 years of job-related experience.
• Universal CFC certification preferred.
• Certifications/licenses as required by local or state jurisdictions.
• Prior shift management or supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs to mechanical, plumbing, structural, and control systems.
• Comply with applicable codes, regulations, and safety directives.
• Maintain an energy management program and optimize system efficiency.
• Assist with preventive maintenance programs and perform emergency repairs as needed.
• Follow policies for safe storage and disposal of hazardous materials; keep a clean, safe workplace.
• Review building inspections to ensure systems operate within design specs and environmental conditions.
• Apply standard principles to complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
• Coach others and share knowledge across disciplines.
