Job summary

MBK Senior Living is seeking a Maintenance Director to oversee a team responsible for the upkeep of the community’s grounds, buildings, and systems. This role focuses on maintaining a safe, inviting environment, mentoring maintenance staff, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

The successful candidate will manage preventive maintenance, budgets, and vendor coordination while upholding MBK’s values and resident-focused service.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on maintenance in healthcare, residential, or similar settings.
• 5+ years experience with building automation and systems (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc.).
• 3+ years supervisory or lead experience in maintenance.
• Knowledge of safety codes, OSHA, and hazardous materials handling.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the maintenance, housekeeping and laundry teams, ensuring safe, well-maintained environments.
• Serve as the on-call point of contact for after-hours emergencies as required.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance plans for major systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical) and equipment.
• Manage department budget, forecast equipment needs, and track expenses.
• Coordinate with Executive Director to ensure cohesive, high-quality living experience.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and MBK policies.
