Job summary

MBK Senior Living is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to care for interior and exterior community areas and support the Director of Environmental Services. The role covers cleaning, repairs, painting, landscaping, and basic systems maintenance in a senior living community.

The position requires attention to safety, ability to read and follow instructions, and a commitment to high-quality service for residents.

Qualifications

• Experience with general maintenance tasks and cleaning procedures.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and PPE guidelines.
• Strong communication and ability to work with diverse residents.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, clean, and repair equipment and property per work orders and supervisor directions.
• Keep work areas safe by posting signs and securing hazardous materials.
• Monitor community security including entry/exit doors.
• Store chemicals, paints and tools properly with labeling and sealing.
• Follow PPE policies when handling chemicals and cleaning.
• Paint interior/exterior and landscape to keep grounds neat and attractive.
• Maintain pools/spas and related equipment.
• Prepare vacant apartments including painting and carpet care.
