Job summary

State of Montana's Department of Military Affairs is seeking a collaborative professional to own design and construction projects from conception to completion. You’ll join a team that manages over 2 million square feet of facility space and 32,000 acres of land, supporting critical state and federal missions.

The role requires coordinating with end-users, agency leaders, and design consultants to deliver cost-effective solutions, while ensuring projects meet high standards and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, project management, engineering, architecture, or related field.
• 2 years of experience managing projects, preferably with exposure to construction documents and methods.
• Alternate combinations of education and experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
• Prior military service is NOT required for this civilian position.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and construction projects from conception to completion.
• Coordinate with end-users, agency leaders, and design consultants to deliver solutions.
• Ensure facilities are built to high standards and support missions.
• Manage a project from conception through completion, including planning, scoping, design, contract administration, construction, and closeout.
