Job summary

Montana State University seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead a team of project managers and coordinators in delivering campus projects efficiently. The role involves coordinating planning, design, and construction, managing risks, and ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget.

You will collaborate with University Facilities Management and external stakeholders to optimize outcomes, review drawings and contracts, and provide coaching on project management best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, planning, or equivalent experience.
• Proven ability to manage project managers and coordinators.
• Strong communication and contract administration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage project managers and coordinators in campus project delivery.
• Coordinate planning, design, and execution of projects within scope, schedule, and budget.
• Provide coaching, workload management, and mentor staff on project management best practices.
• Collaborate with University Facilities Management and external stakeholders to optimize project outcomes.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and change orders.
