Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center is seeking a dedicated custodian to maintain cleanliness and smooth operation of its Prince Frederick facility. You’ll support daily custodial duties, restocking, and waste removal while reporting to the Executive Director.

A respectful, recovery-oriented approach is essential. No formal education is required, but at least two years of related experience is preferred and sobriety is valued for candidates in recovery.

Qualifications

• No formal education required.
• Minimum of two years' related experience preferred.
• If in recovery, a minimum one-year period of sustained sobriety is required.
• Excellent communication, multitasking, and time management skills.
• Strong responsibility and attention to detail.
• Dignified, honest character which models recovery principles.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness and smooth function of property and plant.
• Perform routine custodial duties such as cleaning, restocking, removing garbage etc.
• Provide consistent operational support as required by the Executive Director
• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly checklists to ensure cleanliness and upkeep of facility
• Report on all activities completed, escalating any concerns to the Executive Director
