Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center at Prince Frederick is seeking a dedicated custodian to maintain cleanliness and ensure smooth operation of the facility. The role supports a residential detox and inpatient rehab setting, with duties spanning daily cleaning, restocking, and waste removal.

Ideal candidates demonstrate reliability, strong organization, and respectful conduct in alignment with recovery principles; prior related experience is preferred and no formal education is required.

Qualifications

• No formal education required
• Minimum of two years' related experience preferred
• If in recovery, a minimum one-year period of sustained sobriety is required
• Excellent communication, multitasking, and time management skills
• Strong responsibility and attention to detail
• Dignified, honest character which models recovery principles

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness and smooth function of property and plant
• Perform routine custodial duties such as cleaning, restocking, removing garbage etc.
• Provide consistent operational support as required by the Executive Director
• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly checklists to ensure cleanliness and upkeep of facility
• Report on all activities completed, escalating any concerns to the Executive Director
