Job summary

GlobalFoundries is seeking a Maintenance Technician for its Essex Junction Fab 9 200mm facility that operates around the clock. You will monitor, sustain, and improve equipment and processes in partnership with production teams and area engineers.

You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshoot using mechanical, electrical, and PC/software skills, and provide concise updates to the Lead Tech. Flex shifts and cleanroom work are required.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Degree (or equivalent).
• Experience: electrical or mechanical, 2-year technical degree or 2 years military experience or 4 years of relevant experience.
• Language: English (written and verbal) and basic computer skills (Windows, Office, Outlook).
• Able to work in a cleanroom and stand for long shifts, with potential two-person lifts.

Responsibilities

• Follow detailed instructions and procedures to complete tasks.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment as required.
• Monitor equipment performance and communicate status to Lead Tech or Engineer.
• Support safety policies and wear required PPE during maintenance activities.
