Job summary

GlobalFoundries is seeking a Maintenance Technician for its Malta Fab 8, a 300mm leading-edge facility. You will monitor, sustain, and improve equipment, collaborating with production teams and area engineers to ensure manufacturing readiness.

The role involves performing preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting with mechanical, electronic, and PC skills, and providing concise status updates to leadership. Some shift work is required.

Qualifications

• Education: High School or equivalent; 2-year technical/associates in science, math, engineering, or semiconductor manufacturing or equivalent military training/experience

Responsibilities

• Monitor equipment performance and schedule maintenance to ensure manufacturing readiness.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on tool sets per operating procedures.
• Communicate status updates to Lead Tech/Engineer and document events.
• Recover equipment from process interruptions and complete end-of-shift pass-downs.
