Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Field Technician to support FAA field services in the ZKC_ARTCC. The role covers installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of equipment at customer sites across the assigned region.

You will read drawings, follow task orders, document activities, and work with NOCC, SAC, and the Helpdesk to resolve field issues. A valid driver’s license and FAA security clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
• Possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License, and a satisfactory driving record, as conditions of initial (and continued) employment.
• FAA security clearance is required; U.S. citizenship may be needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for FAA programs (FTI, MS, ADS-B, DCNS, WMSS).
• Install, repair, configure, test and maintain equipment at customer locations.
• Read drawings and task orders; document field activities.
• Coordinate with NOCC, SAC, and Helpdesk to resolve issues.
• Maintain tools, test equipment, and inventory; prep for dispatch.
• Work on-call and travel to remote sites as needed.
