Job summary

L3Harris Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Field Technician D to support FAA field services. The role focuses on field installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment at FAA facilities within the FAA’s ZNY airspace, with occasional travel to remote sites.

You will read engineering drawings, document field activities, and coordinate with NOCC and Helpdesk to resolve issues, with duties including inventory management and readiness for on-call coverage.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License and a satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical field support for FAA programs (FTI, MS, ADS-B, DCNS, WMSS, and others).
• Install, repair, configure, test and perform preventative maintenance on equipment at customer sites.
• Read and follow equipment drawings and task orders.
• Coordinate with NOCC, SAC, and Helpdesk to resolve field issues.
• Maintain tools, test equipment, parts, and vehicle inventory.
• Work occasional on-call hours and travel to remote sites as needed.
