Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Field Technician for the Company’s Field Services organization, supporting FAA contracts. The role focuses on field support in NY airspaces, involving installation and troubleshooting of network equipment and testing gear.

Candidates should have strong knowledge of network wiring, fiber, and test equipment, with ability to travel and obtain FAA security clearance. On-site work at Atlantic City, NJ or Philadelphia, PA is expected.

Qualifications

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
• Obtain and maintain a DOT Public Trust Security Clearance and a DOD Secret Clearance.
• Possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License and/or local US State REAL ID equivalent and a satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Support FAA contracts FTI, ADSB, DCNS and other FSG programs in field settings.
• Perform field support in NY airspaces and install networking and test equipment.
• Work with cable connectors (RJ-11, RJ-45, DB-25, V.35, RS-449) and fiber; test networks and circuits.
• Configure routers and switches; manage IP-based equipment.
• Travel to FAA site locations within a 3 hour drive from base location.
• Be able to obtain FAA Security Clearance as required.
