Job summary

America's Best, part of National Vision, seeks an Assistant Eyeglass Manager to lead daily store operations, drive sales, and coach a team of eyewear professionals. You will monitor performance, ensure quality service, and coordinate with management and corporate partners.

This role emphasizes staffing, training, promotions, and adherence to company standards to deliver an exceptional customer experience across eyewear and eye care.

Qualifications

• Optical sales experience and supervisory experience preferred.
• Proven ability to lead, coach and build associate relationships.
• Strong communication skills for effective management of teams.
• Ability to analyze and understand financial reports.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and achieve profit, sales and performance goals (e.g. reviewing the P&L).
• Oversee the eyeglass department for efficiency and policy compliance.
• Provide outstanding customer service and ensure associates do the same.
• Review remakes and enforce quality standards.
• Communicate with the General Manager, District Manager, and Corporate Office and provide store reporting.
• Ensure promotions and visual merchandising are in place and understood by staff.
• Supervise Opticians and CL Sales associates and support day-to-day functions.
• Assist GM with staffing needs, recruiting, and retention of a high-caliber team.
• Motivate associates to exceed performance standards.
• Note: duties may vary by state due to licensing requirements.
• Demonstrate strong organizational skills and ability to analyze and solve problems.
