Job summary

America's Best, part of National Vision, is seeking an Assistant Eyeglass Manager in New Jersey to lead the eyeglass department and drive sales growth while ensuring exceptional customer service. This role involves coaching staff, monitoring operations, and maintaining compliance with company standards.

You will collaborate with the General Manager, District Manager and Corporate Office, oversee promotions and merchandising, and help recruit and retain top talent in a fast-paced retail

Qualifications

• Optical sales experience or related retail sales background.
• Proven ability to lead, coach and build associate relationships.
• Strong understanding of store operations and standards for success.
• Excellent communication skills for effective team management.
• Exceptional customer service abilities.
• Ability to analyze, create and understand financial reports.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and achieve profit, sales and performance goals (i.e. reviewing the P&L).
• Oversee eyeglass department efficiency and compliance with policies.
• Provide outstanding customer service and ensure teammates do the same.
• Review quality standards, remakes, and enforce policy adherence.
• Communicate with General Manager, District Manager and Corporate Office.
• Manage store promotions, advertising and visual merchandising awareness.
• Supervise Opticians and CL Sales associates and day-to-day tasks.
• Assist in forecasting staffing needs and recruiting high-caliber staff.
• Motivate associates to exceed performance standards.
• Licensing requirements may vary by location as applicable.
