Job summary

National Vision is seeking an Assistant Eyeglass Manager for our America’s Best location in Baytown, TX. You will oversee daily store operations, lead optical staff and ensure top‑notch customer service while driving sales and profitability.

In this role you’ll forecast staffing, recruit and retain strong teams, manage promotions and ensure compliance with policies. The position requires bilingual English/Spanish abilities and prior optical sales or supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
• Optical sales experience with supervisory exposure is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and build positive team relations.
• Strong understanding of store operations and standards for success.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for managing teams.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and achieve profit, sales and performance goals (P&L review).
• Oversee the eyeglass department for efficiency and policy compliance.
• Deliver outstanding customer service and ensure staff deliver the same.
• Review remakes and enforce quality standards.
• Communicate store performance to General Manager, District Manager and Corporate Office.
• Ensure promotions, advertising and visual merchandising are implemented and understood by all staff.
• Supervise Opticians and Sales associates and ensure timely completion of daily tasks.
• Assist General Manager with staffing forecasts, recruiting and retaining qualified staff.
• Motivate associates to exceed performance standards.
• Duties may vary to meet state licensing requirements.
