Job summary

America’s Best, part of National Vision, is seeking an Assistant Eyeglass Manager in Wisconsin, West Allis. You will lead the eyeglass department, manage staff, monitor sales and store performance, and ensure top-notch customer service.

The role involves forecasting staffing, recruiting, and retaining a strong team, while upholding company policies and promotions. A background in optical sales with supervisory experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Optical sales experience is required.
• Supervising experience is preferred.
• Strong leadership and ability to coach and build relationships with staff.
• Solid understanding of store operations and standards for success.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Exceptional customer service and problem-solving abilities.
• Good organizational skills for planning and tracking progress toward goals.
• Ability to analyze, create, and read financial reports.
• Proven capacity to analyze problems and implement solutions.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and achieve profit, sales and performance goals (i.e. reviewing the P&L).
• Oversee the eyeglass department for efficiency and policy compliance.
• Provide outstanding customer service and ensure staff do the same.
• Ensure quality standards, review remakes and enforce policies.
• Communicate with General Manager, District Manager, and Corporate Office; provide reports.
• Ensure promotions, advertising, and visual merchandising are properly executed.
• Supervise Opticians and CL Sales associates; ensure daily tasks are completed.
• Assist GM with staffing needs, recruiting, and retention of qualified staff.
• Motivate associates to exceed performance standards.
• Duties may vary by location to meet licensure or credential requirements.
