Job summary

Mann Eye in Houston, TX is seeking an experienced optician to deliver exceptional eyewear service and guide patients in selecting lenses, frames, and contacts. You will use optical software and perform fittings, order processing, and ensure accuracy of RX and measurements.

We value strong customer service, sales skills, and knowledge of vision plans. ABO certification preferred; two years of experience required; high school diploma or equivalent required.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to interact with patients, doctors, coworkers, and management in a team environment.
• Excellent sales skills and ability to upsell eyewear and lenses.
• Knowledge of optical software and Windows-based operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and provides excellent customer service.
• Promotes sale of quality eyewear to patients.
• Explains limitations and recommendations for eyewear and contacts to patients.
• Inputs orders following standard operating procedures in Optical Management.
• Processes and collects all payments per policy.
• Checks status of work in progress to ensure timely delivery.
