Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• ABO (ABOC) certification required; one-year grace period to obtain.
• Three+ years of experience in optical dispensa ry and operations.
• Extensive experience in modern optical dispensary operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to patients.
• Educate patients on visual needs and lens options.
• Style, measure, adjust, sell, and dispense eyewear.
• Notify patients of eyewear progress/arrival.
• Review and verify eyewear prescriptions and insurance for claims.
• Answer phones, collect payments, process daily reports, and track prescriptions and frames.
• Travel may be required to surrounding HEA offices to provide Optician coverage.
