Job summary

AEG Vision is seeking an Optician in Greensburg, PA to help patients select eyewear and lenses, take measurements, and ensure proper fit and prescription accuracy. You will manage orders, communicate status, and provide exemplary customer service.

Responsibilities include frame and lens selection guidance, lab order creation, and minor repairs. A strong emphasis on accuracy, organization, and teamwork with technicians and staff is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required or equivalent.
• Minimum of one-year experience as an Optician preferred.
• Experience with HIPAA requirements preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail demanded.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent customer service and sales abilities.
• Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Help patients select frames, lenses, and lens treatments based on needs and lifestyle.
• Take and verify patient measurements for proper fit.
• Explain prescriptions and eyewear options to patients.
• Create work orders for lab technicians with exact lens specs.
• Monitor order status and relay updates to patients.
• Perform eyewear adjustments and minor repairs.
• Maintain store cleanliness and display organization.
• Collaborate with technicians, front desk, managers, and optometrists.
