AEG is hiring an Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care. You will assist patients in selecting frames and lenses, ensure proper fit, and translate prescriptions into accurate dispensing. The role blends technical eyewear knowledge with top-notch customer service.

The position emphasizes patient satisfaction, efficient order handling, and ongoing product education. On-site work with full benefits and a collaborative team environment is offered.

Qualifications

• High School or GED qualification.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Minimum of one-year experience working as an Optician strongly preferred.
• Experience with HIPAA requirements preferred.
• PC skills to include MS Office, Windows, and word processing.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Excellent customer service skills and pleasant demeanor, experience with sales preferred.
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.

Responsibilities

• Delivers extraordinary experience to each patient with clear product recommendations.
• Assists patients in selecting frames, lenses, and treatments based on lifestyle and prescriptions.
• Keeps informed on products, procedures, rebates, and lens/frame options.
• Handles patient calls, updates orders, and escalates issues as needed.
• Educates patients on eyewear care, warranties, and protection plans.
• Interprets prescriptions and enters data into the EHR/ALE systems.
• Inspects final products for quality, fits, and comfort; performs adjustments.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of frames, displays, and work areas.
