Job summary

AEG Vision in Fort Collins, CO seeks an Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care. You will interpret prescriptions, assist with frame and lens choices, ensure proper fit, and verify lens dispensing for accuracy.

You will collaborate with doctors and technicians, manage insurance details, and uphold high standards of service, product knowledge, and clinic efficiency in a fast-paced optometry setting.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Minimum one-year experience as an Optician preferred.
• Experience with HIPAA requirements preferred.

Responsibilities

• Delivers extraordinary patient experience and explains product/service recommendations.
• Gathers lifestyle information to identify visual needs and recommends frames, lenses, and treatments.
• Keeps up-to-date with product knowledge, rebates, and lens/frame options.
• Handles patient calls, updates on order status and resolves issues with management escalation.
• Assists patients in selecting frames, lens types, coatings, and treatments based on needs.
• Educates patients on eyeglass care, warranty, and insurance coverage.
