Job summary

AEG Vision in Centennial, CO seeks an Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care.

You will assist patients in selecting frames and lenses, ensure proper fit and accurate dispensing, and relay prescription details into the EHR and ALE systems.

Educate patients on care, warranties, insurance coverage, and promotions; maintain a clean, organized practice and coordinate with technicians and management to ensure timely, quality service.

Qualifications

• High School or GED qualification.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Minimum of one-year experience working as an Optician strongly preferred.
• Experience with HIPAA requirements preferred.
• PC skills to include MS Office, Windows, and Word Processing.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Excellent customer service skills and pleasant demeanor, experience with sales preferred.
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in selecting eyewear and accessories.
• Take measurements and ensure proper fit; dispense lenses.
• Enter prescription data into EHR and ALE; document charts.
• Provide post-order updates and resolve issues.
• Educate patients on care, warranties, insurance.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the practice.
• Communicate with technicians and managers about order status.
• Inspect final product for quality; adjust as needed.
• Follow safety and HIPAA requirements.
