Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 2–3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Lab experience in edging, finishing and surfacing preferred.
• Optical knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with proper frame and lens selection.
• Educate patients on options for clear lenses, sunglasses, and other needs.
• Ensure proper fit and measurements for single vision, bifocal, progressive lenses, etc.
• Verify patient insurance and explain benefits.
• Dispense glasses and discuss adaptation to prescriptions and lens types.
• Assist with repairs and adjustments.
• Ensure timely return of patient phone calls and inform patients of delays.
• Support other office tasks as needed.
• Cross-train and assist other roles; flexible with work environment.
