Laboratory experience for edging and finishing lenses is preferred. Strong communication in English and Mandarin helps us serve a diverse California patient base, with opportunities for growth in a vibrant practice environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 2–3 years related experience.
• Bilingual in English and Mandarin.
• Optical experience is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients with frame and lens selection.
• Educates patients on options for lenses and sunglasses.
• Ensures proper fit and measurements for all lens types.
• Educates patients on benefits of multiple pairs of glasses.
• Verifies patient insurance and explains benefits.
• Dispenses glasses and explains adaptation to new prescriptions.
• Assists with repairs and adjustments.
• Ensures timely return of patient calls and informs of delays.
• Lab experience in edging, finishing and surfacing preferred.
• Assists with other tasks in the office.
