VSP Vision is seeking an Optician 1 to assist patients with finding frames, adjustments, and dispensing eyewear while delivering high-quality service. The role involves greeting customers, ensuring accurate pricing, and maintaining patient records in the practice software.

The position requires 1–2 years of related experience, MS Office familiarity, and strong verbal/written communication skills to thrive in a fast-paced onsite environment in Medford, OR.

Qualifications

• One to two years of experience in a related field.
• Working knowledge of MS Office package.
• Demonstrated ability to successfully perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective verbal communication skills to prioritize multiple tasks and to be available for incoming calls and inquiries.
• Effective written communication skills to clearly document customer situations, as well as prepare letters to confirm agreements made.
• Excellent interpersonal and rapport-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with frames selection, adjustments, and dispensing eyewear.
• Greet customers and provide exceptional customer service to promote patient satisfaction.
• Ensure pricing accuracy and realistic delivery quotes; contact patients to dispense glasses.
• Document all patient communication in the practice software system.
• Work on special projects and cross-train in other departments as needed.
