Job summary

AEG is hiring an Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care. You will assist patients in selecting frames and lenses, ensure proper fit and accurate measurements, and combine technical dispensing with outstanding service.

Strong customer service, communication, and attention to detail are essential. ABO/NCLE is preferred but not required, with opportunities for growth and a focus on patient satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Minimum of one‑year experience as an Optician preferred.
• HIPAA knowledge preferred.
• PC skills: MS Office, Windows, word processing.

Responsibilities

• Delivers extraordinary experience to each patient and explains product/service recommendations.
• Assist patients in selecting frames, lenses, and accessories.
• Verify proper frame fit, measurements, and dispensing of lenses.
• Enter prescription data into EHR/ALE system and maintain patient records.
• Follow up on orders and resolve issues with management when needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of displays and work areas.
