Job summary

AEG Vision is hiring an Assistant Practice Manager to empower and support a high-performing patient care team on-site. You will drive operational excellence, optimize patient flow, and partner with the Practice Manager and Optometrist to ensure service quality and staff readiness.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership development, multi-function support on the practice floor, and ongoing coaching to strengthen team performance and patient experience.

Qualifications

• Optical, healthcare, retail, hospitality, or comparable service/operations experience required.
• Experience in one or more optical or practice functions preferred (patient care coordination, optical sales, technician/clinical support, front desk operations).
• 1–2 years of leadership, lead, supervisory, or management experience preferred.
• Demonstrated leadership capability (peer training, coaching others, owning a business area, or leading through influence).
• Ability to learn across multiple practice positions to support patient care, team coverage, and operations.

Responsibilities

• Support daily operations, patient flow, team coordination, service execution, and real-time practice needs.
• Work on the practice floor and assist across practice functions to support patient care and operations.
• Learn and support roles such as patient care coordination, optical sales, technician/clinical support, patient handoffs, and opening/closing routines.
• Support assigned areas of responsibility based on practice needs and priorities.
• Assist with onboarding, coaching, training reinforcement, and follow-up within assigned areas.
• Review basic reporting and patient feedback with guidance from the Practice Manager to identify trends.
