Job summary

AEG is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Optometrists in delivering exceptional patient care and education. You will conduct pre-exam testing, assist with diagnostic procedures, and help manage appointment schedules to ensure efficient, high-quality visits.

Ideal candidates will have experience in eye-care settings, familiarity with medical terminology, and certifications such as CPO/CPOA/CPOT. This on-site role offers full-time/part-time options and benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams.
• Familiarity with medical terms in eye care.
• Industry certification: CPO, CPOA, CPOT.

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary evaluations of patients prior to exam by the Optometrist.
• Assist with specialty diagnostic testing and post-exam tasks.
• Schedule and manage doctor appointment calendar for efficiency.
• Record and maintain patient records per HIPAA guidelines.
• Respond to patient inquiries regarding medications and treatments.
• May perform diagnostic tests (OCT, Visual Field, Pachymetry, Retinal Camera).
• May act as scribe or assist with refractions as needed.
• Other duties as requested.
