Job summary

America’s Best, part of National Vision, seeks an Assistant Eyeglass Manager to oversee daily store operations, lead optical sales staff, and ensure service and performance goals are met. Sundays off as the stores are closed, with a focus on profitable operations and exceptional customer experiences.

You will manage inventory, coaching, scheduling, promotions, and reporting to the General Manager, with a focus on teamwork, compliance, and growth opportunities within a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in optical retail sales and supervision.
• Ability to lead and coach a team to meet store goals.
• Strong understanding of store operations and standards for success.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong organizational skills for planning and monitoring progress toward goals.
• Ability to analyze, create, and understand financial reports.
• Proven problem-solving abilities across varied scope.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and achieve profit, sales and performance goals (i.e. reviewing the P&L).
• Oversee the eyeglass department for efficiency and compliance with policies.
• Provide outstanding customer service and ensure the team does the same.
• Review quality standards and enforce policies to ensure compliance.
• Communicate with GM, DM, and Corporate Office and provide store reporting.
• Ensure promotions, advertising and merchandising are in place and known by staff and doctors.
• Supervise and motivate staff and ensure day-to-day tasks are completed.
