Job summary

LensCrafters in Evansville, IN seeks an EyeCare Advisor to deliver exceptional customer service and ensure a seamless patient experience. You will help customers select frames and lenses, explain tests and services, and coordinate with the Optometrist and retail team to meet store targets.

The role emphasizes accuracy in handling prescriptions, maintaining records per HIPAA, and providing coaching on contact lens care when needed. A strong service mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Strong customer service skills for internal and external customers.
• Knowledge of current fashion trends and ability to advise on eyewear.
• Strong communication and listening abilities.
• Problem solving and able to work under time pressure.
• Familiarity with cash register, computers and calculators.
• Good organizational skills and basic math proficiency.
• Sales skills and understanding of store merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and answer inquiries with courtesy.
• Explain paperwork, tests, products, and services to customers.
• Review prescriptions accurately and coordinate with Optician or management as needed.
• Assist customers in frame and lens selection that fits lifestyle and budget.
• Perform pre-examination tasks and maintain clean, organized patient records.
• Operate POS system correctly, handling payments and discounts as required.
