Job summary

LensCrafters at EssilorLuxottica in San Diego, CA, seeks an EyeCare Advisor to deliver the LensCrafters Experience. You will support patients, assist with lens and frame selections, and ensure accurate processing of orders and payments.

You will work in a fast-paced retail environment with a focus on customer service, HIPAA compliance, and high-quality vision care. Previous optical or retail experience is preferred for this part-time position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong customer service skills for internal and external clients.
• Knowledge of current fashion trends and eyewear products.
• Effective communication and listening abilities.
• Solid problem-solving and math skills.
• Familiarity with cash handling and store systems.
• Organized with attention to detail.
• Sales-oriented with ability to guide frame/lens choices.
• Knowledge of store merchandise and promotions.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers promptly and answers inquiries with courtesy.
• Explains paperwork, tests, products and services clearly.
• Reviews prescriptions with care and consults if needed.
• Documents patient information while respecting HIPAA.
• Operates POS and processes payments accurately.
• Provides lens/frame recommendations based on lifestyle and budget.
• Performs pre-examination tasks and supports the Optometrist.
• Takes care of inventory, orders and invoicing.
• Maintains visual standards and store cleanliness.
• Handles customer issues promptly and professionally.
