Job summary

LensCrafters, part of EssilorLuxottica, seeks an EyeCare Advisor to deliver exceptional LensCrafters experiences. You will support patients, perform pre-examination tasks, and coordinate with Optometrist and retail teams to ensure smooth doctor-retail collaboration.

You will greet customers promptly, explain services, handle prescriptions and maintain HIPAA-compliant records, while contributing to store performance and patient satisfaction. This role emphasizes service, accuracy, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Knowledge of current fashion trends.
• Strong communicator and listener.
• Problem solving ability.
• Familiarity with cash register, computers and calculators.
• Sales skills.
• Strong basic math skills.
• Knowledge of office and store merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers within 30 seconds.
• Promptly answers the telephone (3 rings) in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Explains all required paperwork, tests, products and services.
• Reviews prescriptions and/or patient information carefully; identifies special needs and consults with Optician/Managing Doctor when necessary.
• Shows patience and courtesy to indecisive or difficult customers and patients.
• Performs work accurately and thoroughly under time pressure and high customer volume.
• Identifies situations involving unsatisfied customers and acts quickly for resolution.
• Demonstrates knowledge of appointment book/scheduling and computer operations.
• Handles and files patient records in accordance with HIPAA.
• Places contact lens orders, processes shipments and submits invoices for payment.
• Operates POS system accurately, including payment processing with various methods.
