Job summary

LensCrafters in Pasadena, CA is seeking an EyeCare Advisor to deliver the LensCrafters Experience and ensure the highest quality optometric care. The role links doctor and retail functions to enhance patient satisfaction.

You will greet customers, explain tests and services, review prescriptions with care, and assist with lens/frame selection while maintaining HIPAA-compliant records and accurate POS transactions.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong customer service skills for internal and external customers.
• Knowledge of current fashion trends and ability to advise on frames/lenses.
• Effective communication and listening abilities.
• Strong math and basic accounting skills.
• Familiarity with cash register systems and computer usage.
• Sales skills and ability to meet targets.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers promptly and warmly, within 30 seconds.
• Answer phones quickly and friendly; explain services and paperwork.
• Review prescriptions and patient information with care; escalate if needed.
• Handle patient records per HIPAA; maintain organization.
• Place contact lens orders and process shipments and invoices.
• Operate POS accurately; handle payments, discounts, and insurance.
• Explain One Hour processing times and delivery expectations.
• Maintain store appearance and visual displays per guidelines.
• Support pre-exam testing and patient coaching with optics knowledge.
