Job summary

LensCrafters is seeking an EyeCare Advisor for our Pasadena, MD location to deliver the LensCrafters Experience and provide quality optometric support. This part-time role focuses on customer service, frame and lens selection, and processing orders with attention to HIPAA compliant records.

You'll greet customers, answer questions, assist with exams and eyewear decisions, and help maintain store presentation while meeting performance targets and promoting the brand.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Knowledge of current fashion trends.
• Strong communicator and listener.
• Problem solving ability.
• Familiarity with cash register, computers and calculators.

• Strong basic math skills.
• Knowledge of office and store merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers without delay (within 30 seconds).
• Promptly answer the telephone (3 rings) in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Explain all required paperwork, tests, products and services.
• Be attentive to details; review prescriptions and patient information; consult when necessary.
• Show patience and courtesy to indecisive or difficult customers and patients.
• Perform work accurately and thoroughly under time pressure and high volume.
• Identify unsatisfied customers and take quick action for resolution.
• Demonstrate knowledge of appointment book/scheduling and computer procedures.
• Handle and file patient records per HIPAA guidelines.
• Place contact lens orders, process shipments and submit invoices.
• Operate POS with accuracy; collect payments per procedures and manage changes.
• Explain 'One Hour' processing and delivery timelines.
• Maintain store appearance and ensure displays follow guidelines.
• Maintain safe working environment for all staff and patients.
• Respond to promotions with appropriate communications and POP materials.
