Job summary

LensCrafters in Palm Desert seeks an EyeCare Advisor who delivers the LensCrafters Experience by providing excellent customer service, guiding patients through tests, frames and lenses, and coordinating with the Optometrist and retail teams.

You will greet customers promptly, explain required paperwork, review prescriptions, assist with frame choices, handle payments and maintain HIPAA-compliant records while staying on top of store promotions.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Strong customer service skills (internal and external).
• Knowledge of current fashion trends.
• Strong communicator and listener.
• Problem solving ability.
• Familiarity with cash register, computers and calculators.
• Sales skills.
• Strong basic math skills.
• Knowledge of office and store merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers without delay (within 30 seconds).
• Promptly answers the telephone in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Explain all required paperwork, tests, products and services.
• Attentive to details; review prescriptions and patient information carefully.
• Show patience and courtesy to indecisive or difficult customers and patients.
• Perform work accurately and thoroughly despite time pressure and customer volume.
• Identify unsatisfied customers and act quickly for resolution.
• Demonstrate knowledge of appointment book/scheduling procedures and computer operation.
• Handle and file all patient records in HIPAA-compliant way.
• Place contact lens orders, process shipments and submit invoices.
• Operate POS system with accuracy and proper payment handling.
• Explain to customers One Hour processing and delivery times.
• Maintain store appearance and ensure displays meet guidelines.
• Maintain a safe working environment.
