Warby Parker in Minnesota is hiring an Optometric Technician to work with our optometrists in a fast-paced store environment. You will perform pre-testing, assist with eye exams, and support contact lens training while ensuring patient flow stays smooth and compliant with privacy policies.

You will also help maintain records, train teammates, and support the retail team while delivering excellent patient care in a high-volume setting.

Qualifications

• Completion of an Optometric Technician training program or CPOT certification.
• 1+ years of experience in a medical environment supporting doctors.
• Familiarity with EMR systems and ophthalmic equipment.
• Strong communication and patient-care orientation.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary liaison between doctor and patient, establishing rapport.
• Perform preliminary clinical data collection (autorefraction, visual acuity, eye pressure, etc.).
• Support in person and video assisted eye exam appointments as available.
• Provide insertion/removal training for new contact wearers; train team members.
• Assist with booking process and outreach to ensure smooth appointments.
• Manage patient flow through the eye exam process efficiently.
• Maintain accurate records of collected data and prepare reports as needed.
• Adhere to HIPAA/PIPEDA, privacy policies, and store procedures.
• Prepare and maintain an organized exam room and stock supplies.
• Support the retail sales team as directed by the Store Leader.
