Job summary

Warby Parker is seeking an Optometric Technician to work with our optometrists and deliver a stellar patient experience in our stores. You will manage a high volume of patients, perform pre-testing, support contact lens training, and help keep eye exam operations running smoothly.

You are a team player, tech‑savvy, and comfortable with new medical applications. The role requires excellent communication, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain accurate records while following HIPAA

Qualifications

• Experience in a medical environment supporting doctors.
• Familiar with eyewear and ability to explain features.
• Knowledge of HIPAA/privacy practices.
• Completion of Optometric Technician training or CPOT certification.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison between doctor and patient during eye exams.
• Perform preliminary data collection (autorefraction, acuity, eye pressure, etc.).
• Assist with in-person and video-assisted eye exams.
• Support contact lens training and train staff on insertion/removal.
• Manage patient flow and appointment confirmations.
• Maintain accurate data records and prepare reports.
