Job summary

AEG Vision is seeking an Optometric Technician to support doctors, perform pre-testing, assist with diagnostic testing, and help manage the patient flow to deliver efficient, high-quality eye care.

You will conduct preliminary evaluations, document findings in EHR, handle scheduling, and provide post-exam tasks while maintaining HIPAA compliance and a patient‑centered approach. The role requires strong attention to detail and solid PC skills, with full-time benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams and dispensing eye exam medications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary evaluations of patients prior to exam by the Optometrist (dilation, topicals, diagnostic meds, Optomap, auto refractor, visual acuity).
• Schedule referrals and manage appointment flow to maximize utilization.
• Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA and office policies.
• Assist with diagnostic testing using specialty equipment (OCT, Visual Field, Pachymetry, Retinal Camera).
• Perform end-of-day duties and keep the practice area clean and organized.
