Job summary

AEG Vision is seeking Optometric Technicians to work with doctors to support patient care, pre-testing, post-exam duties, and specialty testing while maintaining the doctor’s appointment schedule for a professional, pleasant patient experience.

You will perform preliminary evaluations, enter patient data in electronic health records, and assist with patient education and laser vision discussions as appropriate.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• Entry-level PC skills including MS Office and Windows.
• Ability to work well in a team setting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Experience in eye care is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist doctors with patient care, pre-testing, post-exam duties and scheduling.
• Enter patient information into electronic health records.
• Communicate with patients about medical care and follow-up appointments.
• Explain Lasik options and help schedule referrals as needed.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant patient records and assist with documentation.
