VSP Vision is seeking an Optometry Assistant to support doctors in eye examinations and patient care. You will gather patient history, perform pre-testing, and guide patients through the clinical experience while maintaining accurate records.

In this role, you will work with clinicians and staff, use MS Office for documentation, and help manage schedules and patient flow. A proactive, service-oriented mindset is essential for success in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in a related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and rapport-building abilities.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage patient flow.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations by gathering medical history and documenting information.
• Assist Optometrist with testing and measurements using clinical instruments.
• Administer topical ophthalmic and dilation medications as directed.
• Scribe for the doctor and translate as needed.
• Assist in other areas of the office and help manage patient flow.
