Job summary

MyEyeDr. in Florida is seeking an Optometric Technician to support our Doctors of Optometry during patient visits. You'll assist with preliminary testing and measurements, document medical history, and help prepare patients for exams.

No optical experience required; comprehensive training will be provided to learn the equipment and procedures. You will ensure smooth patient flow, keep patients comfortable, and collaborate with a team to deliver a best-in-class vision-care experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with basic math ability.
• Personable and patient; comfortable with screening processes.
• Detail oriented and able to work closely with the Optometrist.
• Willingness to learn about the industry, products and services.
• Collaborative team player delivering patient-centric care.
• Healthcare/optical background preferred but not required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document conditions, and chart medical history to prep for exam.
• Maintain smooth patient flow to the Doctor and staff during appointments.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with office procedures encountered during visits.
• Learn to use pretest equipment to perform visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients and other tests.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to provide a seamless patient experience.
