Job summary

Bridgeview Eye Partners in Lincolnwood, IL is seeking a friendly Scribe to support physicians during patient exams by transcribing data into the EHR and assisting the team with administrative tasks. No prior experience is required, as we provide comprehensive on-the-job training.

You will help obtain patient histories, schedule appointments, prepare exam rooms and coordinate patient flow. We offer a starting wage of $18.00/hour plus certifications, holidays, PTO, comprehensive benefits, and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous optometry experience preferred.
• Proficient in EHR with strong keyboarding.

Responsibilities

• During the exam, accurately enter information into EHR as dictated by the doctor.
• Assist optometrist and ophthalmologist with patient procedures.
• Escort the patient to Optical and introduce to the Optician, reiterating the doctor’s recommendations.
• Coordinate patient scheduling and monitor patient flow throughout the office, properly communicating delays.
• Prepare exam room by cleaning instruments and maintaining inventory of medications and supplies.
• Provide a safe, clean, organized and inviting environment for both patients and staff.
• Perform other duties and assume various responsibilities as determined by leadership.
