Job summary

AEG is seeking a Licensed Practice Manager to inspire, develop, and support the entire team, delivering exceptional patient care while achieving business results. The role serves as the primary on-site leader, ensuring a patient-centered, high-performing environment.

Reporting to field leadership, you will drive operational priorities, partner with the Optometrist, and lead through people, process, and technology to support clinical service alignment and practice growth in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3+ years of leadership experience in optical, healthcare, retail, hospitality, or a comparable service environment required.
• State Licensure
• Optical dispensing experience
• Optical technical knowledge or comparable healthcare, retail, or service leadership experience required.
• Optician certification preferred.
• Strong communication, coaching, observation, and follow-up skills.
• Ability to analyze reports and performance data.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily practice operations, patient flow, staffing, scheduling, labor planning, service execution, and operational consistency across the practice.
• Serve as the primary on-site floor leader by supporting team alignment, patient needs, service recovery, and real-time operational priorities.
• Establish expectations for staff and ensure understanding of daily priorities and patient care standards.
• Partner with Optometrist to support exam flow and evolving service offerings.
• Coach and develop team members and hold them accountable for performance and patient care standards.
• Support new hire development and practice-level learning needs.
• Monitor patient feedback and service trends to identify opportunities and risks.
• Review performance data to identify gaps and opportunities.
