Job summary

Minnesota Eye Consultants is seeking a Patient Service Representative for our Crosstown clinic to welcome patients and manage front-desk tasks with a friendly, patient-centered approach.

Responsibilities include scheduling, collecting co-pays, updating demographics, cash reconciliation, and preparing charts for visits. The role supports multiple MEC locations and requires HIPAA compliance and reliable teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years related customer service experience.
• Healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors warmly, assist with navigation and scheduling.
• Verify and update patient demographics and insurance information.
• Collect payments including co-pays and outstanding balances.
• Prepare patient charts and packets for clinic visits and procedures.
• Scan documents into the electronic health record.
• Maintain lobby safety and cleanliness and assist with access control.
• Comply with HIPAA/PHI standards and MEC policies.
