Job summary

Eye Health America LLC and The Eye Associates are seeking a patient services coordinator to support busy ophthalmology practices across the Southeast. You’ll greet patients, verify demographics, scan insurance, collect referrals, and manage checkout and scheduling, ensuring accurate charting and timely payments.

The role emphasizes compassionate care, professionalism, and attention to detail in a fast-paced clinical setting with opportunities for growth within a trusted network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Reliable transportation.
• Previous experience in eye care, or the medical environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet and check-in patients in an orderly and professional manner.
• Scan patients’ insurance cards and driver’s licenses.
• Document all patient demographic information.
• Collect proper authorizations and/or referrals from patients.
• Handle patient check-out processes, including processing charges, collecting fees, and scheduling next appointments.
• Monitor past-due accounts and collect payments.
• Maintain and balance a personal cash drawer daily.
• Evaluate chart data for completeness and accuracy.
