SouthCoast Health is seeking a Full-Time Patient Representative for our Eye Care Department. You will be a primary point of contact for patients and families, ensuring a welcoming and professional experience reflecting the quality of care we provide.

You will greet and assist patients, manage check-in/out, collect co-pays, communicate wait times, and uphold privacy standards. The role requires healthcare customer service experience and strong communication in a fast-paced clinic setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of one year of customer service experience (healthcare experience preferred).
• Professional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
• Proficiency with computer systems and office software.
• Knowledge of customer service best practices.

Responsibilities

• Warmly greet and assist patients and visitors in a courteous, professional manner.
• Provide clear directions, information, and assistance as needed.
• Monitor physician schedules and communicate wait times to patients.
• Collect co-pays and manage patient check-in and check-out procedures.
• Protect patient confidentiality and ensure compliance with privacy standards.
• Follow clinic protocols and notify appropriate personnel during emergencies.
