Capital Health Plan seeks an Eye Care Patient Care Representative to serve as the first contact for members seeking care. You will check in patients, verify coverage, obtain visit documentation, and explain services.

You’ll answer calls, schedule appointments, and document interactions in the EHR, while handling payments and ensuring smooth clinic operations. As part of a not-for-profit health system, you’ll join a team dedicated to respectful, professional service and patient-centered care,

Qualifications

• 1+ months of related experience or training.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to learn software programs used for appointment scheduling and accessing patient information.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence and effectively communicate with patients, coworkers, and small groups.

Responsibilities

• Check members in for appointments and verify membership.
• Schedule appointments and document patient interactions in the EHR.
• Answer calls, route calls, and manage appointment schedules.
• Collect and record patient cost shares and review visit charges.
