Job summary

Physicians Eyecare Group seeks a compassionate Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP) to join our Farmington eyecare center. This on-site, part-time role focuses on comprehensive eye exams, co-managing ocular conditions, and integrative care within a multidisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate holds NM NP licensure, a current NM DEA registration, and 2+ years of clinical NP experience (ophthalmology preferred).

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted NP license in NM.
• Current DEA registration or eligibility in NM.
• MSN or DNP from an accredited program.
• Minimum of 2 years NP clinical experience; ophthalmology or integrative medicine preferred.
• Strong proficiency with EHR/EMR and clinical documentation.
• Excellent interpersonal and patient education skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye exams including visual acuity testing, refraction assessments, and anterior/posterior segment evaluations.
• Diagnose and manage ocular conditions including dry eye syndrome, conjunctivitis, blepharitis, glaucoma (co-management), and diabetic eye disease.
• Co-manage pre- and post-operative care for cataract surgery, LASIK, and other ophthalmic procedures.
• Order diagnostic imaging and ocular testing (e.g., OCT, visual fields, fundus photography).
• Refer patients to ophthalmologists or specialists when clinical findings exceed NP scope.
